Build on your experience from Day Skipper level & now learn to skipper a yacht by day and by night. Complete more challenging passages along coastal routes.

  • 15 Days (2 days as skipper)
  • 300 miles,
  • 8 night hours,
  • Navigation to Yachtmaster theory level
  • Course duration - 5 days
  • Student: Instructor Ratio 5:1 (Max)
  • Minimum age is 16

> COURSE AIM:

Building on previous experience, you will learn to prepare and plan coastal passages, and how to navigate at night and in restricted visibility. Develop your boat handling skills under sail and engine with more challenging situations. Learn to handle a boat in adverse weather and how to recover a man overboard under sail.


> WHAT'S POSSIBLE NEXT?

Gain the confidence and skills required to skipper a yacht by day and night, and take on more challenging coastal passages.
Charter companies will be more likely to let you take larger yachts in their fleet.
It is a great step in progressing towards the Yachtmaster Coastal/Offshore Qualifications and should give you the confidence to explore further afield!

  • Preparation for sea in less friendly waters,
  • Pilotage at day & night,
  • Passage making and ability as skipper,
  • Yacht handling under power,
